Sunday 23 February saw the sun shine on the GC Handicap Singles at Fendalton Park Croquet Club.

Lawns were a bit wet to start, thanks to cooling rain the previous evening, but dried up during the day.

There were 8 entries, but two withdrawals meant only 6 players on the day. Competition was a round robin with everyone playing 5 thirteen hoop, untimed games.

There was a great atmosphere and lovely attitude from the players. Competition was close and it was up to the final games to determine the winner.

Winner was Lyn McKinnon from Cashmere, and Runner-up with a one point net hoop difference was Eileen Arnett from St Martins.
